Coverit is a topical medication, which is prescribed for the management of the androgenic alopecia or baldness disease. Androgenic alopecia is a hair fall disease, which is frequently occur in men as compared to the women. This medicine contains minoxidil as an active therapeutic agent, which acts on the peripheral tissue as a vasodilator and increasing the blood flow, nutrient and oxygen to the hair follicle, results in slow or stop the hair fall and enhance the growth of the hair.

Coverit is an allopathic medicine that is used as topical to treat hair loss or baldness in both male and female patients. Minoxidil is present as main therapeutic chemical ingredients, which belongs to the vasodilator drugs group. This medicine exhibits its action by vasodilatation and opening of potassium channels that cause hyperpolarisation of the hair follicle cell and enhance the flow of the blood, minerals and oxygen toward the hair follicle. It shows more effectiveness action in younger men who has experienced hair loss less than 5 years. This medicine is prescribed for a longer time due to the low efficacy of minoxidil to re-growth of hair.

Indication of Coverit

Coverit is used mainly for the slow or stop the hair loss and it is also used for the  re-growth of the hair. 

Contraindications of the Coverit

Contraindications are the condition in which this treatment does not recommend because this treatment increases the severity of the conditions. These conditions are given below.

  • Hypersensitive reactions
  • During the pregnancy
  • During the lactation
  • Heart disease 

Drugs interactions of Coverit

Drugs interactions are the conditions in which two or more drugs interact to each other in the body and produce unwanted effect in the body. These drugs are Guanethidine, Metronidazole, and Disulfiram. 

Dose of Coverit

  • Coverit is a hair oil topical preparation,
  • The recommended dose is 1ml twice in a day (morning and evening) at least for 3 to 4 months.
  • It is directly applied on the dry scalp. 

Storage conditions of Coverit

  • It should be Stored at controlled room temperature (20-25) ˚C.
  • Protect from the direct contact of the sunlight and moisture.
  • Do not use after the expiry date.

Missed dose of Coverit

If you want to get a good therapeutic effect of this medicine then you should not skip any dose of this formulation.

Overdose of Coverit

Do not try to get overdose of this formulation for a fast action or fast result.
